A New Look for Tessa
Doesn't she look cute in her new glasses? She got them a couple of weeks ago and she is so happy that things aren't so fuzzy anymore. When you look straight on, the frames look clear, but from the top and sides, they are a pretty blue (her favorite color). We were so pleased to get them for an amazing deal online, too!
Score!
Over a week ago, some neighbors down our street had a garage sale. One of the boys' friend came by to show them some cool Lego pieces he had found there. The boys were way excited, grabbed their allowance money and raced down to the house only to find them almost packed up for the day. The neighbors said they'd be setting up again in a week and that they could come back then. Well, bright and early last Thursday morning, the boys were up, morning duties done quickly, and they were ready to roll. Tyler and Scott first went to scope it out -- they zoomed back, bursting with excitement, reporting that there were TONS of Legos. They got Zach and off they went. They returned about 10 minutes later, each with a brown lunch bag (Scott with 2) filled to the brim with Lego and Bionicle pieces, glowing because they had truly scored a good deal -- $1 per bag, fill as full as you can! Heaven. It was the deal of the century! I was almost as excited as they were as I quickly did the math in my head figuring out the value of what they had purchased. It was awesome.
Little Hugger
Brynn gives the best and tightest squeeze-hugs. She'll even make a grunting sound to let you know how hard she's hugging. Sometimes when I'm holding her on my hip and doing something with my other hand, my attention elsewhere, she'll put her little face right in front of mine and look me right in the eye, "Hi, hi!" and then wrap both her little arms around my neck and give me a squeezes and squeezes of love. Of course she then is always successful in winning my attention again as I laugh and hug her back. It's sort of her check-in with me, making sure I don't forget she's there -- my extra appendage a lot of the time... : ) Love those hugs.
Tessa the Wildkitten
Wildkitten Dance Camp
Tessa LOVED her 3-day dance camp with the Verona Wildcat Dance Team. They learned a dance routine (which they performed during halftime of the JV game), played games, did crafts, and had a lot of fun. There were 4 groups ranging from 1st - 8th grade. Tessa was thrilled to be one of the girls that got lifted up during their performance!
